Solution to the main coil rope biting of water well drilling rig

1、 If it is a new drilling rig (engineering drilling rig/water well drilling rig), the drum and wire rope of the new drilling rig have slight rope biting, which is a normal phenomenon. It can be automatically eliminated by running in for a period of time;

2、 To use authentic brand steel wire ropes with quality assurance. And the length of the drill wire rope should not exceed three layers.

3、 Observe the roughness of the casting of the drum rope groove, the specifications of the rope groove, and whether the spiral trajectory is even.

4、 If there is a brittle sound at the transition position, a baffle can be welded at the transition position to guide the transition of the steel wire rope; If there is a rope bite after the transition to the second layer, it indicates that the transition is too rapid, and grinding can be used to make the transition slow.

5、 Regardless of whether the rope is bitten or not, it is necessary to apply some lubricating grease to the main coil wire rope of the drilling rig to maintain and reduce friction.

6： If there is no rope biting phenomenon in the first layer, and rope biting occurs in the second layer, medium to large diameter reels or long reels can be arranged at the back, so that the main coil steel wire rope does not have the opportunity to wrap around the second layer.
